WHAT'S HAPPENING
Introducing... Swindon Wordsmiths, an evening of spoken word poetry and comedy organised by Swindon people, for Swindon people. Whether you want to get up and perform, or sit back and watch, Swindon Wordsmiths has something for all poetry and comedy lovers to enjoy. You'll find us at The Well at Abbey Meads Village Centre, North Swindon. Come join us for a night of spoken word, open mic, comedy and all-round great vibes. Line-up The first ever Swindon Wordsmiths is hosted by Abbie Doyle with performances from multi-slam winning poet, Rebecca Rocker, stand-up comedian, Sam Michael, and award winning spoken word poet and author, Dai Woolridge. Open-mic There are four open-mic slots (5 mins max.), which comedians and poets can sign-up for in advance by emailing hello@torncurtain.co.uk. Send us your contact details, social media link/s, and a brief bio. We'll confirm slots at least two weeks before the event. Open-mic performers do not need to buy tickets.
